Central Catholic names new Head Baseball Coach

October 21, 2019 (Portland, OR) - Central Catholic is excited to welcome Justin Barchus as the new head coach of the Baseball program.

Barchus started his coaching career at McNary High School. From there, Barchus got his first collegiate level coaching opportunity in the West Coast League with the Klamath Falls Gems. He then moved on to coach the Gresham GreyWolves in 2016 and 2017. In the last two years, Barchus has been the head coach for the Portland Pickles and led the team to a league best 37-17 record and a Southern Division regular season championship, earning him the West Coach League "Coach of the Year.” Other coaches have described him as a very organized leader, motivator, instructor and teacher of the game of baseball.

As Central Catholic’s new head coach, Justin is excited to create a culture of connecting with the community, excellence in the classroom and representing the school and the program with integrity and character.

Coach Barchus lives in Wilsonville with his wife Jessica and is currently a professional strength and conditioning coach. He works as head programmer and head coach of the competitive program at CrossFit Wilsonville.

Welcome to our Ramily Justin!
