Central Catholic no longer uses the High School Placement Test as part of the admissions process. Pertinent information gathered from the applicant's school (recommendations and records - including middle school grades, standardized test scores, attendance, discipline records, etc.), along with a family interview, provide ample information for the Admissions Committee to evaluate. Central Catholic's mission and commitment to educate students from diverse backgrounds ensures that admission to our school is premised on our ability to serve the academic, spiritual, emotional, and social needs of the student.
All applicants are required to submit a writing sample as part of their application. With your permission, Central Catholic will happily share your writing sample with any of the other local Catholic high schools so applicants only need to do this exercise with one school. Registration for your writing sample will be available after Open House on October 31, 2021.
