Harrington Field Renovation Complete

Harrington Field Renovation Complete

We have completed our renovation of Harrington Field and on Wednesday, April 11, Msgr. Murphy blessed the finished project. Board members, football coaches, members of the programs leadership council, and President Colin McGinty gathered on the field for the blessing followed by lunch. We would also like to gratefully acknowledge Brennan Scarlett '11 for his generous donation which allowed for a cardinal and gold CC to be added to the 50 yard line.

"Getting out of class at the end of the day, I couldn’t wait to get on to this field and for my cleats to get between these lines. It gave me a place to pursue my dreams of being a competitive football player, at the college level, and eventually professionally. I would come out here (to this field) and get my work in and see evidence of getting better," Brennan said.

"The sense of community that this field symbolizes. Alex Balducci and I played together and started as classmates and team mates and became a brother hood, and that’s my brother to this day. Also my family, I would come out here and train with my brother, my dad, and my sister, my mom. I think that is what Central Catholic encompasses, that’s what it represents, is that sense of community."
