Join the Rose Festival Court

The mission of the Rose Festival Court program is to provide scholarships for higher education, to promote community outreach and volunteerism, and to offer networking and mentoring opportunities to outstanding young women in a program that perpetuates an appreciation for Rose Festival history and tradition.

Being selected as a Rose Festival Court Member is an honor and an outstanding opportunity.
Be a part of history - and help fund your future! The Rose Festival Court has been promoting exceptional young women in Portland for over 100 years. Each Court member will receive a $3,500 scholarship for higher education.

Expand your horizons.
Court members travel around the region, experiencing new perspectives and cultures as they promote the Festival.

Build relationships and create future opportunities.
Your Unitus mentors will create a unique job shadow opportunity. Plus, you will have the opportunity to network with business and civic leaders around the region.

Real world experience - where everyone is in your corner.
Gain real world experience interviewing for a job, internship, or scholarship in a positive environment where everyone involved is invested in your success.

The Rose Festival Court is comprised of up to 15 outstanding young women who are selected from Portland-Metro area high schools. Beginning in May, Court Members travel through the end of the Festival in mid-June, visiting events, business and civic leaders, hospitals, senior living centers, youth organizations and other groups. Court Members also receive one-on-one mentoring from Unitus Community Credit Union female executives, a $3,500 scholarship provided by The Randall Group valid for any accredited college, university or trade program, a travel wardrobe, and a lifetime of enduring friendships with their Rose Festival Court sisters.

The Rose Festival Court experience is a unique and rewarding adventure. In partnership with the Portland Rose Festival Foundation and the school districts, we have arranged for most schools to freeze grades upon the start of the travel schedule. *However, each Court Member must work with her teachers and school to ensure that all requirements are completed for graduation.
