Alumni Board
/fs/pages/622Central Catholic's Alumni Board strives to provide the school with resources, financial, relationship, and other, with the goal of supporting the development and growth of the Central Catholic community. Members of the Alumni Board work to continually build relationships between present and future alumni.
Victor Covington '13
With over seven years of experience in managing and producing original music and video content for various clients and platforms, Victor is currently a freelance creative in Portland. "I combine my passion for storytelling and sound design with my project management skills to deliver engaging and impactful multimedia solutions that meet the project's objectives and exceed the client's expectations." Some of his notable projects include producing voiceover work for Nike and Chime, composing and arranging music tracks for video projects, and overseeing Air Max campaigns for four seasons.
Ed Curtin '68
Ed graduated from Central Catholic in 1968. He comes to the board after careers as a newspaper reporter and editor, classroom teacher, and union leader. He graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx with a degree in Sociology and was a reporter in New Jersey and Monmouth, Pendleton, and Bend before settling in Corvallis. He played in the John Shephard Classic most years and moved back to Portland in 2018.
Ed's five brothers also attended Central Catholic: Tom '71, Peter '72, Matthew '73, and Joseph and John (twins) '75. His sisters, Catherine and Frances (also twins), graduated from St. Mary's in 1969. The family grew up in North Portland's Holy Redeemer Parish. While at Central Catholic, Ed ran track and cross-country. He now plays softball, bikes, hikes, golfs, connects with former classmates, helps his grandsons during remote schooling, gardens on a two-acre patch in Albina, and quaffs with a few fellow Ancient Order of Hibernians friends (an Irish Catholic fraternal organization).
Will Paustin '15, Chair
Will graduated from Central Catholic in 2015. He attended the University of Oregon's Robert D. Clark Honors College, graduating with degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship and Economics. While enrolled, Will served as the Student Trustee on the University's Board of Trustees. After college, Will moved to San Francisco and worked in software sales before returning to Portland.
Will has been a member of JGP Wealth Management since 2020, where he has played an integral role in the firm by combining his knowledge of the financial world with a strong and dedicated work ethic in order to help clients achieve their financial goals. Will is known for his commitment to walking our clients through everything they face in their financial lives, celebrating their victories along the way. He specializes in serving winery and vineyard owners, as well as business owners planning to pursue an exit, tailoring his solutions to fit their unique financial challenges and opportunities.
Mary Beth Pinder '85
Mary Beth graduated from Central Catholic in 1985. She attended Lewis and Clark College, majoring in Biology. After college, she spent time as a nanny and as a summer camp and environmental education director, and finally found her way back to school to obtain her teaching degree.
Mary Beth returned to Central Catholic in 2001 as a physics and biology teacher where she "had the privilege to work with outstanding colleagues and teach some of the other board members (or at least watch them on the basketball court!)." Now, Mary Beth coordinates Central Catholic's RAMS Program, providing guidance and leadership to students served by the program.

Since 2015, Kevin has worked at the Portland Trail Blazers, most recently in Corporate Partnerships. He is an experienced Corporate Sales Representative with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry, and skilled in event planning, customer service, sports management, sales, and marketing strategy.
