Central Catholic is a One-to-One school--meaning one device for each student.
All new students are required to purchase a laptop through Central Catholic (regardless of your grade level) during your first year of enrollment. The school is able to coordinate with a laptop vendor to provide a high quality device at significant savings by purchasing in bulk.
What is the cost?
The cost of the device for the 2025-26 School Year is $1,530.00. This year's device will be a Dell Latitude 7450. You can read more about the specifications here: Dell Latitude 7450 Specs
You have the option to purchase the device in one payment or divide the cost over 11 payments using our tuition payment system. Please contact our Student Billing Specialist, accountsrec@centralcatholichigh.org, if you need to request extended terms to financially assist in the purchase of a device.
Warranty
Your device comes with a 5-year Dell ProSupport Plus warranty, which includes onsite repair and coverage for accidental damage. However, that warranty does not include the battery, which has a separate 1-year warranty.
Dell's accidental damage covers up to the value of the device, or five complete replacement claims (one replacement per year). You can find more information at the Dell ProSupport Suite for PCs website.
What happens if my student leaves Central Catholic?
Until you have paid for your student’s device in full, the device is considered a “loaner” from Central Catholic. If your student withdraws from Central Catholic at any time before that full payment occurs, one of the following will happen:
- After officially withdrawing from Central Catholic, you agree to pay the balance owed on the device in order to retain ownership of the device.
-
Or, you agree to return the device in good working condition to the Central Catholic Technology department and forfeit any payments that have been made. If the device is not in good working condition, you are required to pay the balance in full.
What happens if I lose my laptop?
Lost or stolen devices are not covered under warranty and Central Catholic High School is not responsible for replacing. Should you no longer have possession of your laptop, contact our Student Billing Specialist at
accountsrec@centralcatholichigh.org.
How do I access support if I am having an issue with my laptop?
Students can receive assistance for their laptops during school hours by visiting the Help Desk, located in Room 115. They can assist with basic troubleshooting, password resets, and other miscellaneous repairs.
Email support is also available at: helpdesk@centralcatholichigh.org.
Replies will come from CCHS Help Desk (help@cchs.on.spiceworks.com). This is our help desk ticketing system.
