AP Testing

For All Exams:

• Your student body ID card or driver's license (or other government issued photo ID).
• A watch (optional) that does not have internet access, does not beep or make noise, and does not have an alarm. Leave your smart watch at home, please.
• A light snack (accessible during break only).
• A closable water bottle.
• Dress in layers for the exam. Some of the testing locations may be colder or warmer than you'd like, and you'll be sitting there for several hours.

For Fully Digital Exams:

• Fully charged testing device (your laptop) and charging cord. (an external mouse is optional.)
• College Board account login information to log in to Bluebook.
• Pencils or pens for taking notes on school-provided scratch paper.

For Hybrid Digital AP Exams:

• Fully charged testing device (your laptop) and charging cord. (an external mouse is optional.)
• College Board account login information to log in to Bluebook.
• two No. 2 pencils with erasers or two pens with black or dark blue ink.
• Approved calculator for Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics exams.
• A ruler or straightedge for the Physics C: Mechanics exam.

For Spanish & French Language and Spanish Literature Exams:

• Several sharpened No. 2 pencils (with erasers) for all responses on your multiple-choice answer sheet (do not bring mechanical pencils).
• Pens with black or dark-blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams.

Get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast before your exam!

• Electronic equipment: (cell phone, smart phone, laptop, tablet computer, etc.), portable listening or recording devices (MP3 player, iPod, etc.), cameras or other photographic equipment, smart watches, wi-fi enabled devices, devices that can access the Internet, and any other electronic or communication devices.
• Unapproved aids: Books, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes, or colored pencils, reference guides, keyboard maps or other typing instructions, and clothing with subject-related information.
• Scratch paper.
• Watches that beep or have an alarm, or smartwatches.
• Ear plugs and headphones.
• Head coverings (hats, brimmed caps, hoodies worn over the head, etc.).
• Backpacks create clutter. When possible, please carry what you need to the exam and leave your backpack in your car or locker.

Prior to the day of your exam, all students must:

• Download the Bluebook app
• Open the downloaded file to install the Bluebook App onto your laptop
• Open the Bluebook App
• Log in to the app using your account name and password from College Board
• Take a test preview and/or practice test on Bluebook to confirm that it is working properly

On the day of the exam, you will want to have:

• Your device fully charged
• The Bluebook app installed and tested
• A charging cable on hand just in case. Students taking two exams on the same day must bring a charging cable.

Students are allowed to go to the restroom one at a time (regardless of gender) throughout the exam and including the break during the exam. Students must otherwise stay in the room. You may go during the exam, but the timing of the test will continue and you will not be able to make-up any missed time. Students will still only be able to use the restroom one at a time during the break, so therefore, please plan to go before the exam begins.

Students with documented special accommodations through the College Board (extended time, etc.) will take their exams in a different location but will keep the same date and time. Look for an email to be delivered to you prior to exams containing your schedule and location(s).
