Alumni Profile: Lara (Mack) Tennant '84
Lara entered the doors at 24th and Stark in 1980, a member of the first co-ed freshman class and helped start the first girls golf team. Lara is more than just a good golfer. Last year alone, she won the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur title, as well as the Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship—and she made the first-ever hole-in-one at the US Senior Women’s Open pro tournament.

It was a big year for Central Catholic students in the regional Scholastic Art Awards.
Rams help resettle refugee family in Portland
Central Catholic’s Rams for Life club spearheaded this labor of love to resettle a refugee family in Portland. The Clubs mission is to celebrate and support human life, especially the most vulnerable in our society. The group hopes to inspire in the Central Catholic community an even deeper sense of being made in God's image.

Both the girls and boys had strong wins against Reynolds and the girls team cruised past Centennial with the boys team falling short by only 7 points, a margin the team is confident can be overcome in the district meet. Black Girl In Suburbia is a 55 minute feature documentary that looks into the experiences of black girls growing up in predominately White communities.

Courageous Conversations with our Community
Students are encouraged to join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for a Courageous Conversation in the New Gym during lunch on Thursday. Come dialogue in a safe and respectful environment. The topic will be “the intersection of sports and justice”.
