The Central Catholic Community Food Box Drive

The Central Catholic Community Food Box Drive

The Week of Giving leads up to a special Ramily service project benefiting St.Vincent de Paul and families in our community!

Volunteers in the Catholic community come together every Christmas season to deliver food baskets to those experiencing food insecurity in and around the greater Portland area. I’ve witnessed firsthand the joy when a person opens their doors to a friendly smile and a generous box of food. Over the years, demand has increased. This past year, Jesuit teamed up with Central Catholic to provide greater outreach. Jesuit and Central Catholic will proudly work together again to bring Christmas joy to many in need of assistance. Thank you for your generosity.

- Brian Ferschweiler, Executive Director, St. Vincent de Paul Portland Council

The Central Catholic community will be packing food boxes on Friday, December 20, starting at 2:00 P.M. and doubling our efforts to reach more families in need.

We will also need volunteers to deliver the boxes on Saturday, December 21, starting at 8:00 A.M. We will be providing a light breakfast to keep our drivers and elves energized.

Students may receive independent service credit for either project. We need many hands to help. Please join us to make this service project a special one for our community!

CLICK HERE to sign up to pack food boxes on Friday, December 20, starting at 2:00 P.M. and/or to be drivers/distributors for the deliveries on Saturday, December 21, at 8:00 A.M. We need 100 volunteers for each day!

To receive service credit for one of both of these projects, student volunteers must first sign up above for a shift(s), and then complete an Independent Service Contract. CLICK HERE to complete the contract. Download and print a copy of your credit slip to take with you to the project to have signed by a supervising Central Catholic adult.
