New Hires at Central Catholic
We are excited to announce two new hires for our Central Catholic community:
Mary Beth Pinder ‘85 - Rams Program Coordinator
Mary Beth Pinder ‘85 will be serving as the new RAMS Program Coordinator. Mary Beth has been teaching at Central Catholic since 2001, most recently teaching Biology and Physics.
“I have been thinking about this position ever since my former colleague Dean Heuberger put a bug in my ear almost 10 years ago that working with learning disabled and Intellectually disabled students could be a possibility for me here at Central Catholic. This led me to the University of Portland where my Special Education credential was entrenched in neurodiversity, which has helped deepen my conviction that all students can learn in their own unique way.
As a teacher I pride myself on the relationships I form with students. Over the years, I have had so many wonderful opportunities to connect with students in the classroom, through retreats, at sporting events, and at tank gang lunches. I look forward to building unique relationships with each of the RAMS students and helping our peer mentors do their job well.
It excites me to think of learning more about curriculum development and helping my colleagues feel confident about what they are doing to help create a truly inclusive environment in their classrooms. I am confident that I have the ability to learn what is needed to support the RAMS Program students in the best way possible.”
Jenny Mai - Attendance and Assistant Registrar
Jenny Mai recently joined the Central Catholic community and will serve in the Front Office as the Attendance and Assistant Registrar.
“I am so excited to start at Central Catholic. After 6 years of banking, I wanted to shift my focus on meaningful work and get back on track of school for counseling. I am a first-time parent to a beautiful daughter and still trying to figure it all out! So, please share all your parent hacks with me – it is no joke! I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know the community!
We pray for Mary Beth and Jenny as they transition into their new positions.
