Nate Ford '08 Named New Boys Tennis Head Coach

Central Catholic is proud to announce Nate Ford ’08 as the new Boys’ Tennis Head Coach!

Nate grew up playing at the Irvington Tennis Club in Northeast Portland. He continued his tennis career as a varsity player at Central Catholic, going as far as the quarter finals of the State Championships.

Nate received a BA of Journalism from the University of Montana and a MAT from Concordia University. He returned to Central Catholic to teach English in 2018 and began coaching tennis that very spring.

As a coach, Nate strives to guide students in their ability to succeed in sports while maintaining integrity and respect for others. And, most importantly, to have fun!

Covid-19 and the recent forest fires have challenged Central Catholic’s sports teams, but boys’ tennis has recently been able to return to practices in small cohorts off-campus. Nate and assistant coach Steve Workman are excited to return to coaching and to provide student athletes with a chance to play the great game of tennis!

Go Rams!
