Central State of Mind - February 16

Central State of Mind - February 16

On February 16, 2022, Central Catholic held its third annual Human Dignity Summit: Central State of Mind.

Our amazing keynote speaker, Taylor Stewart, founder of the Oregon Remembrance Project, spoke about his work in helping communities unearth stories of injustice and the work necessary to reconcile instances of historical harm.

We had over 30 incredible different workshops happening simultaneously that were led by students, faculty, staff, and community members. These workshops dove into a range of topics–everything from affordable housing, to feminism, to philanthropy.

Finally, students participated in a reflective walk-through exhibit of Central Catholic’s past, present, and future and attended two community celebration assemblies that showcased the incredible and diverse talents of our school community and beyond.

It was an amazing day filled with community, joy, awareness, and understanding. We are so grateful for everyone who participated, and we feel inspired by the conversations and response that came from this!
