Bio:
I am so happy to be part of the great community here at Central Catholic!

I was raised in Government Camp, Oregon at the base of Mt. Hood where I spent much of my childhood outdoors. I attended Oregon State University where I received my B.S. in Zoology. During my undergraduate education, I spent my time working on many different research projects including analyzing coral DNA, quantifying bivalve larvae on the Oregon Coast, and performing barred owl dissections.

After college, I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Portland where I received my M.A.T from University of Portland. In the classroom, I strive to help students build confidence in themselves as scientists and in who they are as members of our community.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and our two cats, gardening, watching old movies, and collecting vintage Pyrex.
