Bio:
I was born in Portland, Oregon, and shortly after moved to Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. My father was an army cardiologist and we finished his service in Landstuhl, Germany, before moving back to Tacoma, Washington.

I love being at Central Catholic. I believe that our disposition education gives students a richness of being, or a sophistication which translates into compassion for others. At Central Catholic there is an opportunity to come to know, love, and support each and every student. It does not surprise me anymore how many students teachers know whom they have not taught. Whether our students come from a particularly reflective culture here in Portland, or there is something about this building’s atmosphere that allows them to articulate their reflections, is a question that I still think about twenty-some years in. At present I am reading a student recommendation called Anathem about Platonism and multiple worlds theory.
