Rose Festival Crowns Princess

Student Achievements

With an impressive speech and enthusiastic presentation, Siobhan O’Malley was crowned Central Catholic's Rose Princess for 2010.  Siobhan was escorted by her younger brother Liam O’Malley.  This year’s Rose Festival court included Chelsea Cowley escorted by Sean Kollman, Hayley Holmes escorted by Andy Clark, Bethany Ley escorted by her brother Jake Ley,  and Mary Wilson escorted by Sam White.

All of these wonderful young women were poised and gave wonderful speeches based on this year's Rose Festival Theme, “Rose Spirit”.   This year our Princess was selected through a panel of judges from The Rose Festival Committee.

Siobhan, an excellent student, is involved in the Drama Department, the Co-President of the Diverstiy Builders Club, a member of the National Honors Society, and a Rambassador for Central Catholic.  She enjoys singing, dancing, acting, reading, and knitting scarves.  Her duties representing our school during the Rose Festival events of 2010 will begin at the beginning of May.

Spring Production Underway

This Mark Twain play is a three act comedy that fictionalizes the life of the great French painter Jean-Francois Millet.  As a poor struggling artist takes measures into his own hands and with the help of his colleagues, stages his death in order to increase the value of his paintings.  Combining elements of farce and satire the comedy relies on mistaken identities, romantic deceptions, and cross dressing to tell the story of fame, greed, and the value of art to the human soul. Click here for more information.
