"Caring"

CARING for each other is the most important quality that we possess as humans.  The ability to show others

genuine concern, heart felt charity and true compassion allow us to become for others what we want them to become for us.  This cycle of caring allows us all to grow

and give and in return receive beyond our own expectations.

CARING

Concern for others – (to be more concerned for others than of self)

  • To be caring is to show love, regard and/or concern for the well-being of others.
  • When God measures a man, he puts the tape around the heart instead of the head. So should we.
  • You make more friends by being interested in them than by trying to get them interested in you.
  • A caring person is NOT mean, cruel or insensitive.
  • A caring person is NOT selfish or self centered.
  • A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small package.
  • Praise loudly, blame softly.
  • We all have enough strength to bear the misfortunes of others.
  • No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another. – Charles Dickens.
  • Life is an exciting business, but most exciting when it is lived for others. – Helen Keller
  • God cares for people through people.

Charity – (benevolent good will or love of humanity)

  • Be charitable – give money, time support and comfort just for the sake of making someone else’s life better, not for praise or gratitude.
  • There’s no limit to how much good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.
  • The best way to forget your own problems is to help someone solve his.
  • Give what you have; to some it may be better than you dare to think – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
  • Forget yourself for others and others will not forget you.
  • True charity is helping those you have every reason to believe would not help you.
  • Charity is love in action…for it is better to give than to receive.
  • The measure of life, after all, is not its duration, but its donation.
  • Sharing with others is caring for others in action.
  • To ease another’s heartaches is to forget one’s own.
  • I’m not sure all happy people are generous, but I’ve never seen a generous person who wasn’t happy.

Compassion – (sympathetic consciousness of others distress together with a desire to alleviate it)

  • Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others can not keep it from themselves.
  • Gossip is like mud thrown against a clean wall. It may not stick, but it leaves a mark.
  • Whoever gossips to you will be a gossip of you.
  • There are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks all of them.
  • People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
  • The heart is the happiest when it beats for others.
  • We must do good to others because it’s the right thing to do – not to make ourselves look good.
  • Compassion is sorrow or concern for the suffering of others accompanied by the urge to help.
  • Love will find a way, indifference will find an excuse.
  • We are not put on this earth to see through one another, but to see one another through.
  • Cloth is woven strand by strand; lives are helped hand by hand.
  • There is a vast difference between putting your nose in other people’s business and putting your heart in other people’s problems.
