Rich Program of Co-Curricular Activities

Central Catholic High School has a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for students
to participate in. Students have an opportunity to develop leadership skills by participating
in performing and fine arts, athletics, student publications, student government, clubs, and
activities.

Performing and Fine Arts

 

Central Catholic has a successful Performing and Fine Arts Program. Expanded facilities are
needed to further enhance the curriculum. Students are provided opportunities to display their
work and perform at various school functions through:

Athletics

 

Central Catholic High School has an outstanding tradition of Mt. Hood Conference
participation in the 18 sports offered on campus. Since 1945, athletes have participated in
50 State finals, winning 26 State Championships. The Central Catholic Family is proud of the
contribution of student athletes and in the tradition of sportsmanship, fair play and commitment
to excellence. Each year the following sports are offered:

Publication Groups

Journalistic talents are developed through the school newspaper, the award-winning yearbook
and the literary magazine. The school newspaper, The Rampart, is published throughout the
year. The school yearbook, the Scepter, is a collection of photographs and school highlights that is designed by student volunteers and published in late May. The Reverie, a literary magazine, is a collection of student work and is published yearly.


Student Government, Clubs, and Activities

The Student Council oversees student body business and activities and manages student
events. In their interaction with each other, students learn to appreciate cultural diversity. To
