New VP of Advancement HiredCentral Catholic is pleased to announce Eleanor Dir will be Central Catholic’s new Vice President of Advancement. She will assume the role on August 1.
“I am thrilled to have Ellie join our team and am eager to begin our work together,” said President Colin McGinty. “Ellie's considerable professional experience, her commitment to Catholic education, and her creativity will be huge assets to the school. As a team, we will continue to strive to help make Central Catholic High School more affordable for those families who need assistance and seek to invest in those programs that enrich our student’s education.”
A Portland-area native, Dir has worked in the fundraising and development sphere for the last twenty years and comes to us with extensive experience in strategic philanthropy, prospect management, stewardship, and organization management.
Most recently, she was the Associate Director of Philanthropy at the Nature Conservancy where she managed a portfolio of major donors and worked with staff on donor development and stewardship. She has also served as the Major Gift Officer at the OHSU Foundation, Associate Director of Major Gifts and Associate Director of Parent Giving at the University of Portland, and the Director of Development at La Salle Catholic College Prep.
Dir has a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Portland and has earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. She is an avid runner and hiker, enjoys cross country skiing, creative writing, reading, and gardening.
