Bio:
I am originally from Palo Alto, California in the Bay Area. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for 20 plus years. I am a mother of two children, one granddaughter, and one fur dog. I am passionate about maintaining my flexibility with Yoga taught by Deafhoodyoga. My passion is planting seeds of sign language to ALL people in walks of life to ensure that the Deaf community has access to communication via sign language, caption, and pro-tactile sign language.

Education:
Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language with a minor in Special Education, Western Oregon University; active member of American Sign Language Teacher's Association University 2011

Experience:
Taught levels 1-4 for eight years. Prior to Central, I was a Life Enrichment Director at Chestnut Lane Assistant Living for the Deaf and Deaf Blind. Taught at Groner Elementary School in the Hillsboro School district for three years. Taught babies to pre-k at The Children's Hour Academy for eight years. Mentored ASL interpreting students from Western Oregon University and Portland Community College, as well as Mt. Hood Community College. Private tutoring with Fr. Raul of St. Peter Catholic Church
