Brennan Scarlett and Martenne Bettendorf Finalists for the Johnny Carpenter Prep Athlete of the Year Award

Congratulations to Martenne Bettendorf and Brennan Scarlett '11, who have been selected as finalists for the Johnny Carpenter Prep Athlete of the Year Award. Brennan Scarlett '11, who is currently attending Cal, was a standout multi-sport athlete, and Martenne Bettendorf, who is currently a senior at Central Catholic, was a dominant force on the volleyball court and an instrumental part of the Rams' winning three state championships in the last three years.

The winners will be announced at the 2011 Oregon Sports Awards show on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Tiger Woods Center on the Nike World Campus in Beaverton.

The Oregon Sports Awards honors the state’s top athletes, coaches and teams of the past year. A statewide media panel votes on the awards. Emmy award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad will be the master of ceremonies, and numerous sports celebrities will present the awards.
