Constitution Team Wins Awards

 

The Central Catholic Constitution Team competed in the We the People district competition January 10 at Lake Oswego High School and brought home not one, but two Unit Awards.  The Unit Awards, which represent the high score for a particular unit, are a major achievement, especially for a new program.  

We the People is a nationwide competition focused on public speaking and knowledge of government and the U.S. Constitution.  Teams are divided into six Units, each of which focuses on a particular aspect of the U.S. Constitution, current events and government.  Students work in their Units to produce prepared remarks, then answer follow up questions from a panel of judges.
