Gabriel Boehmer ’78 is the author of City of Readers: The Book Lover’s Guide to Portland, which will be published in September by Tall Grass Press. He graduated in 1983 from the School of Journalism at the University of Oregon and then worked for several Oregon newspapers before entering the public relations field. Since 1996, Boehmer has been with Wells Fargo Bank, where he serves as an assistant vice president and communications consultant. His son, Cameron, recently completed his freshman year in the Honors Program at Santa Clara University, majoring in computer engineering and playing for the Broncos’ lacrosse team. Boehmer and his wife Jennifer, who is a marketing manager for Portland Community College, live in Portland’s Grant Park neighborhood.
Ron Hart ’76 lives in Cleveland, Ohio. He wrote, “I came here 25 years ago for graduate school at Case Western Reserve University and ended up staying out here to do research as a Biomedical Engineer. My wife, Jan, and I have five children, ages 7, 11, 14, 16 and 17.”

Sean Dooney ’79 has been named President of Leonard Adams Company, a Portland independent insurance agency. Sean Dooney started in the industry with Northwestern Mutual in 1985 and joined Leonard Adams Company in 1988. Sean Dooney is the third President of the company, since they opened their doors in 1933. He succeeds Leonard Adams (1933-1974) and Brian Dooney (1974-2006). Brian Dooney will continue with the agency as the CEO.
