A Central Catholic Legend Retires
After 36 years at Central Catholic, Bill Sprinkle is calling it quits. This Central Catholic icon touched the lives of some 5,000 students who have passed through our halls. We would like to show Mr. Sprinkle how much we have appreciated his time and energy by putting together a surprise memory book for his retirement party.
We need your help! Do you have a memory of Mr. Sprinkle from your days at Central Catholic. If you have a funny story, favorite teaching/coaching moment, picture of you and Sprinkle, or just want to send him a card wishing him good luck on collecting social security, please mail or email (scottreis@gmail.com) them before May 15th to:

Annual Appeal Soars towards Million Dollar Goal
We set a very ambitious goal to reach $1,000,000 during the 2007-2008 annual appeal. As of May 5, 2008 we have collected over $976,000! If you are one of the thousands who have generously pledged your support but have yet to send your gift, please do so by May 31st so that we may acknowledge your gift in time for the President's Report on Development mailed to the CC community in September. We are so grateful for your generosity. Thanks for your continuing support!

Alumni Weekend

RAM Open - August 1, 2008
Alumni Weekend - August 1-2, 2008
Plan on joining 500+ alumni and friends of Central Catholic for the ALL years reunion. Live music, great food, friends and familiar faces are the hallmarks of a great event. This year the classes of '48, '58, '68, '78, '88, and '98 mark their decade reunions so there will be additional activities planned exclusively for these graduate years. Complete registration, schedule and activities information will be posted on the Central Catholic web site Alumni page within the next few weeks.

Thank you to the hundreds of friends of Central Catholic that made the President’s Dinner and Silent Auction a fabulous success. Central Catholic went Live on April 19th and continued its reputation as a great party with plenty of surprises.
The evening was filled with more socializing, more entertainment and more of the things that make our community great. Big Board Bidding provided our guests with a new twist on a traditional auction, and the Central Catholic faculty, students, and alumni electrified the crowd with dance and song to kick off the Fund-an-Item for Tuition Assistance. Hal Westby ’54 provided the crowd with an inspiring close to the presentation and our generous community responded by raising over $250,000 to continue the mission of Central Catholic.
The post-auction party included current Central Catholic students, faculty, and alumni belting out classics from the last 50 years. Led by Carli Halligan ’98 and Nick Miranda ’98, their
band "Ara" provided an unbelievable post auction party that kept party goers dancing into the night.
Thanks to the very generous support of presenting sponsors – Pat and Cindy Ferguson, Molly Sanders, A-Boy Plumbing & Electrical and numerous others, the auction was completely underwritten for the third year in a row. As a result, 100% of every dollar contributed auction night will go toward serving the students of Central Catholic High School.
Congratulations and thank you for helping to make Central Catholic Live a huge success! |
