Central Catholic Alumni Gets "Social"

|
Please join the “Official Central Catholic High School Alumni Association” Facebook and LinkedIn pages. We intend the Facebook group to be more socially oriented. Keep the community informed of births, marriages, deaths, what’s up, events, etc.
The LinkedIn page is more of a professional services/referral network. For example, there is a great job opportunity posted that hopefully will match nicely to someone in the CC community. A win-win for all involved. Click on the links to the left and request to be a member. We’d love to have you join our groups. This is a great way to get reacquainted with old classmates, share your occupational expertise and stay connected with the Central Catholic community. If you are a part of another group that includes Central Catholic alumni, please share our link and ask them to join, too. |
Central Catholic Wall of Fame
Our goal is to have every class hanging in the hall for your viewing at our 2010 Reunion Weekend Celebration on Saturday, August 7. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to the cause. The donations are coming in and are greatly appreciated, but we have a long way to go. The class composites are a tribute to all who have graced these halls. Great efforts have been made to complete and hang a composite picture of every graduating class from Central Catholic High School. We need your help to finish it up. If your class is listed below, please click here to contribute towards your class's efforts. Is your class already on the wall? SUPER! What about a gift in honor of a sibling, a parent, a grandfather? Help the cause to get EVERY class represented. DONATE TODAY! Contributions are 100% tax deductible.

Central Catholic Starts Student Intern Program
Can your business or someone you know provide a Work Experience Internship to CC seniors? Central Catholic High School is launching a new program for the next academic school year and would like to ask for as much participation as possible from our alumni. In the next few weeks, students will be forecasting for next year. Through the Technology/Business Department, students will have the opportunity to sign up for an Independent Study: Work Experience Internship. This program is designed to provide seniors with an opportunity to engage in a work place experience in an internship relationship. The course will be offered as an after school/early dismissal (1:00pm) work place opportunity. The CCHS Program Coordinator along with the employer will serve as instructors and evaluators in this pass/no pass graded class. Training sessions will take place prior to placement in the business community. This program may assist students to determine areas of career interest, and possibly help students successfully transition from school to a career.
We would ask that your companies consider opening up an opportunity for a Central Catholic senior to come and work in your business during fall of 2010 for 10-20 hours a week (paid or unpaid). Please e-mail Nancy Peterson, Department Chair of the
Technology/Business Department, at npeterson@centralcatholichigh.org, if you are interested in participating in this program.
