CAMPUS MINISTRY
Campus Ministry is a coordinated and integrated ministry grounded in Catholic tradition working with all Central Catholic programs to develop a community of faith, compassion, and justice that continually pursues spiritual growth and full human development. Campus Ministry draws the entire community into responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Church. To accomplish these goals, Campus Ministry offers liturgies, retreats and Christian service. Through Campus Ministry, students learn to become leaders in faith.
Eucharistic Ministers
The Eucharist is at the center of our Central Catholic community. As our students become adults in their faith through the sacrament of confirmation, they may take training to become Special Ministers of the Eucharist. These students witness their relationship with God and their devotion to the Eucharist. Our Eucharistic Ministers may then go on to be Special Ministers of the Eucharist in their own parishes or to take communion to the homebound.
Person for Others Award
Campus Ministry has established a program in line with the school’s core mission – “…to be a people for others.” Each week, a student is selected for his or her embodiment of this ethic. Recipients are chosen from individuals nominated by staff, though Campus Ministry welcomes nominations from parents and others who may have witnessed our students helping others in off-campus settings.
