CHRISTIAN SERVICE
The Christian Service Program is designed to help the students of Central Catholic become a people of compassion and knowledge, a people committed to justice, a people for others. During their years at Central Catholic, students will complete a minimum of eighty hours of service to the greater community of Portland, and the world.
The hope is that through service the students will become aware of their Christian responsibility to respond to those in need around them in the world. The development of community, both within the walls of Central Catholic, and outside the walls, is a vital goal of Central Catholic's Christian Service Program.
Service opportunities for incoming freshmen begin in September.
Locks of Love
A special thanks to the thirteen Central Catholic High School community members who donated a portion of their lovely hair to Locks of Love. This organization helps disadvantaged children suffering from medical hair loss. These thirteen students, mothers, siblings, and staff members are visible signs of service in our midst. This day could not have been possible without the assistance of stylists from the Magnum Opus Salon in downtown Portland. Click here to view the photos.
