Summer League

for Grades 7 through 12

Logistics

  • The Academy will be held on the Central Catholic Harrington Field at 2401 SE Stark.
  • The Academy will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 10:00AM to 12:00AM, July 7 – July 24.
  • Summer League will be held at Liberty, Aloha and Hillsboro High Schools.
  • Summer League is scheduled on Tuesday mornings for six weeks beginning June 17 and ending July 29.

The Academy and Summer League are conducted and coached by members of the CCHS Girl's Soccer Coaching Staff led by Head Coach Rob Warnell.

Camp Description

The Lady Ram Soccer Academy is designed for 2008-2009 seventh graders through seniors who aspire to play high school soccer.  The academy is designed to provide training in both soccer technique and tactics for players who are committed to improving their game and to being an important part of the Rams Soccer Program.

There are several benefits to the LADY RAM SOCCER ACADEMY :

  • The Academy is a comprehensive course over a three week period that covers technical and tactical principles of the game .

  • Players receive training from the Lady Rams Coaching Staff, specifically geared towards the Ram style of play and they will gain a better understanding of what will be expected of them as part of the Ram soccer program.

  • Players receive fitness training that will help them prepare for the fall season

  • Players familiarize themselves with the Ram coaching staff and meet some of their future teammates/classmates. 

  • Players will have the option to participate in a high school summer league in order to apply the skills and tactics acquired at the Academy

Summer League

Again this year  the Lady Rams will enter two teams into the high school summer league at Liberty, Aloha and Hillsboro High Schools. The league is scheduled on Tuesday mornings for six  weeks beginning June 17 and ending July 29 (the schedule for the week of July 1 is undetermined at this time). Camp attendees are not required to participate in the summer league as part of the Academy, but may add it to the Academy at a minimal fee based on their participation in the Academy.  Players may also choose to participate only in the summer league. The league is an excellent way for players to work on individual skills and team tactics against high level competition.

Registration and Fees

The cost for the Academy is $150 for three weeks, $120 for 2 weeks, and $80 for one week.   In addition there is a charge for summer league participation. The registration form shows a complete list of fees. To get the greatest benefit from the training, the full three-week course is recommended.  Space will be limited!  Register early to guarantee a place in the Academy.   Please click on the link below, fill out the registration form, and mail it to Central Catholic High School , c/o Rick Potter, 2401 SE Stark St., Portland, OR 97214.
