Club Spotlight

Friends of the Earth

Students dedicated to saving the planet.

Saving the world one piece of paper at a time. A group of students come together with dedication to promote awareness of the world in which we live. Students devote their time to paper recycling, conservation ethics, promotion of environmental awareness, confronting those who litter, and by supporting environmental causes. Students active in Friends of the Earth are also avid in participating in Earth Day events.

Being on the "green" team is hard work.  Members collect recycling hroughout the school, quite a job considering there is a recycling bag or bin in every class room!  Members empty all of the bins and bags in the back of the school,as well.  Every member of the team feels like it is worth the effort since Central Catholic recycles several tons of paper and cardboard every year. Friends of the Earth meets twice monthly on Thursdays at lunch; all interested students are encouraged to join in on this club committed to environmental awareness.

Thank you to all the Friends of the Earth who serve our community through their willingness to promote conservation on campus.
